Ainsworth High School Athletes Compete in Virtual Track Meet
After Ainsworth Community School moved to remote learning the track team was forced to move to distance training, according to Head Coach Bryan Doke.
“It was decided that the kids needed some incentive to continue with the weekly workouts that we provided,” said Doke. “The athletes had a chance to letter if they logged their workouts weekly.”
Throughout this time there was the idea of a possible virtual track meet. “The few that I checked out unfortunately did not workout, either due to their format or timing,” said Coach Doke. “ We decided to just do an intersquad meet and I think the kids felt more comfortable with this as we were not sure where our training was. I would just like to recognize those who participated.”
