Cub Scouts enjoy fun-filled trip to the Black Hills
Just how much fun can you squeeze into 24 hours?
Cherry County Cub Scout Pack #288 was up to the challenge during their overnight camping trip to Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota in June. Eleven scouts participated along with several family members.
First the Scouts practiced the outdoor skill of pitching a tent at Horse Thief campsite. Then everyone enjoyed a campfire meal and a nighttime hike around Sylvan Lake. The following day was jampacked with several activities starting with a visit to Mount Rushmore.
