Gregory women’s golf tournament well attended last Thursday night
“We appreciate all of the women who came out and joined us for our annual tournament. It was so nice to see so many women enjoying a great evening of golf and spending time together in the clubhouse. We appreciate Julie Anshutz and Valerie Johnson for out doing themselves and hosting a great tournament,” siad Johson.
You couldn’t ask for a better evening to be outside meeting new friends and enjoying old friends while playing golf. If the hooting and hollering were any indication, then everyone had a great time. 18 pairs of women played 9 holes of scramble. The players were from Burke, Gregory, Platte, Colome, and Winner. Although it wasn’t on a hole for longest drive, Sam Sperl used everything she had to put her drive within chipping range on hole 5. Despite the excessive celebration both Sam and her partner displayed I still thought it was worth noting. I promised to drop her handicap by a couple points for her effort and I think she thought I was kidding.
