UNL students and Valentine Champions to give presentation May
Everyone is invited to join the presentation Tuesday, May 1, to see the direction that Valentine and Cherry County will be taking with the UNL Landscape Architecture Students and the Valentine Champions. The students visited in January, and again in March to determine the project scope, and strategic development.
Through the Rural Futures Initatives grant, students under the directon of UN Extension Community Vitality Educator Jenny Nixon and their teachers and professors will share their plans for increasing economic opportunity, demographic renewal, and quality of life place making. Nixon shared that every community in America is responsible for its own economic development. Increasing economic opportunity is foundational for ensuring demographic health and renewal. Increasing economy opportunity, whether growing jobs or expanding your local business community, is the keystone to ensuring sustained community prosperity
