Ainsworth Speech Team received the District Runner-Up Trophy during the March 6th competition. Members competing were: (Front Row - Left to Right) Maia Flynn, Eden Raymond, Maren Arens, Josie Ganser, Ellie Welke, Cody Scott; (Middle Row - Left to Right) Brandt Murphy, Libby Wilkins, Alyssa Erthum, Dakota Stutzman, Taylor Allen and Katherine Kerrigan; (Back Row - Left to Right) Allison Taylor, Ben Flynn, Cody Kronhofman, Logan Hafer, Cameryn Goochey.
The Ainsworth speech team had a successful day of competition on Saturday, March 6th at the C1-6 District contest in Ainsworth and received District Runner-Up honors.
At the district competition, the top three places in each event qualify for the State Tournament, which will be held at Kearney High School on Thursday, March 18th.
State Qualifiers include:
Extemporaneous: 1st Place - Josie Ganser and 2nd Place - Libby Wilkins;
Informative: 1st Place - Ben Flynn;
OID: 3rd Place - Maren Arens, Cody Kronhofman, Eden Raymond, and Dakota Stutzman;
Persuasive: 1st Place - Alyssa Erthum and 3rd Place - Logan Hafer - 3rd; and
Serious: 3rd Place - Dakota Stutzman.
