Memorial services for Morton Albert McBride, age 95 of Ainsworth, NE will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ainsworth with Masonic Rites by the Silver Cord Lodge #224 AF&AM. Inurnment will follow in the Ainsworth Cemetery with Military Honors by Ainsworth American Legion Post #79. “Mort” McBride died Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Sandhills Care Center in Ainsworth.
Survivors include three children, Linn (Mike) Baxter of Ainsworth, Konnie (Jerry) Schaefer of Blue Hill, NE and Joe (Lori) McBride of Ainsworth; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; step-children, Scott (Pam) Halligan of Kearney, NE, Tracy (Brian) Landis of Kearney, Carrie (Mark) Gaskins of Overton, NE and Jim Halligan of Kearney; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest McBride of Plymouth, NE and Victor “Bud” (Betty) McBride of Ainsworth; sister, Beverly Dodds of Manhattan, KS; brother-in-law, Steve (Jan) Crooker of Oakland, AR; sister-in-law, Betty McBride of Lincoln, NE; along with nieces, nephews and other family members.
There will be no visitations.
