58th Annual All-Sports Tailgate Held at Ainsworth Community Schools

Witten Painter was the only Ainsworth High School senior to receive a 12-sport athlete award Tuesday during the 58th annual All-Sports Tailgate Party, hosted by the Ainsworth Lions Club. Not only was Painter a 12-sport athlete, he received letters in football, basketball and track and field in each of his four high school seasons.

Sandhills Prairie Refuge Association to Host “June Hike to Buffalo Bridge”

The Sandhills Prairie Refuge Association (SPRA) is excited to host a community guided hike on Saturday, June 6, at the Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge. The “June Hike to Buffalo Bridge” offers a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to explore the Wilderness Access Foot Trail and witness the stunning beauty of the Niobrara National Scenic River.

Graduate and undergraduate degrees will be conferred for 739 spring graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney commencement exercises 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, at UNK’s Health and Sports Center.
