September is Suicide Prevention Month, and local non-profit, the Haley Project, held a suicide walk to bring attention to Mental Health. Shawna Fernau, the creator of the Haley Project, said the walk went very well.

The Ainsworth City Council met for its regularly scheduled meeting and annual tax and budget hearings on Wednesday, September 10. All members of the council were present, including Dustin Barthel, Heather Lutter, Kent Taylor, and Brad Fiala.

That’s because the “One Big Beautiful Bill” means that Nebraska will have to do without about $216 million in state income tax revenue over the next two years, and $406 million less over the next four years.
