A memorial service for Edith M. Keller, age 97, of Bassett will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the Bassett United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow in the Newport Cemetery. Edith Keller died February 24, 2022 at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett.

A celebration of life for Donna Rae (Barlow) Lyons, 81, of Norfolk, formerly of Long Pine was held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater with Delores Ruzicka officiating. Burial followed in the Ewing Cemetery. Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater is in charge of arrangements. Donna gained her wings and entered heaven June 5, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk and was reunited with her loving husband.

Garth Garrett Swett was born June 14, 1991 in Bassett, NE to Steve and Ellen (Kast) Swett. He died May 21, 2022 at O’Neill, NE at the age of 30.

Lolita Suzanne Taylor was born May 10, 1944 at Ainsworth, NE to Ulyse and Lucille Lambley. She passed away June 3, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE at the age of 78.

Leona Joan Emry, 82, lost her fight with cancer on November 12, 2021 in Kearney, NE. Graveside services will be held at the Ainsworth Cemetery on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

A Celebration of Life honoring Shirley Burger will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ainsworth, NE. Shirley passed away at the Sandhills Care Center in Ainsworth, NE on December 2, 2021, at the age of 93. A private family graveside service was held on Monday, December 6, 2021.

FaDonna J. (Hower) Goodnight, age 90, of Long Pine, NE passed away at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care Center in Bassett, NE on January 6, 2022, with her family by her side. FaDonna was born to Morris E. and Lauvera P. (Lingle) Hower on January 18, 1931 in Lucas, KS.

Memorial service for Garth Garrett Swett, age 30 of Long Pine, NE will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. the Ainsworth Assembly of God Church. Inurnment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery at Long Pine. Garth Swett died Saturday, May 21, 2022 in O’Neill, NE.

Doris “Dorie” Anderson Hughes, after recently celebrating her 99th birthday at the Rock County Care Center in Bassett, quietly and peacefully passed into her new life on April 27, 2022. Dorie and her late husband “Bill” were married February 8, 1941 and raised their family in the Ainsworth area.
