Duane Clair Keim was born July 21, 1932 to Clair and Delores (Lewis) Keim at Ainsworth, NE. He passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the age of 89 at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care Center in Bassett, NE.

Gerald W. Allen Jr. of Ainsworth, NE passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth at the age of 90. Jerry was born in York, NE on December 2, 1931, the eldest of four children to Gerald and Louise (Terry) Allen. He attended Creighton Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1950. One special accomplishment during his high school career was earning the Eagle Scout rank. While a senior in high school, Jerry set the school record for the 880-yard run in track, a record that he held for 25 years. He also won the gold medal at the State Track Meet in 1950. After high school, Jerry attended Doane College for two years before he enlisted and served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He was stationed in Nuremberg, Germany and enjoyed traveling while on leave. After his service, Jerry attended the University of Denver where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

Word has been received of the death of Duane C. Keim, age 89 of Bassett, NE and Ainsworth, NE. He died Sunday, January 23, 2022 in the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett. Per his wishes, no services will be held.

Delmira Oatman, age 89 of Broken Bow, NE formerly of Ainsworth passed away January 13, 2022, at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow. Memorial services were held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with Pastor Phil Sloat officiating.

Funeral service for longtime Ainsworth businessman, Gerald W. “Jerry” Allen, Jr. age 90 of Ainsworth was held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ainsworth. Cremation will follow services and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery at Creighton, NE.

Allen Ray Baragar was born on March 2, 1963 at Chadron, NE to Alvin Ray and Helen Louise (Roberts) Baragar, the first of three sons. He passed away at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, NE on January 12, 2022 at the age of 58 years.

Jordan (JC) Edward Collins, 25, of North Platte, NE0 passed away suddenly December 13, 2021 at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, NE. On March 21, 1996, Jordan Edward Collins was born after what seemed like forever to Sid and Vicki Collins. He joined his brothers, Jonathan and Joshua, and was followed by his one and only sister JoAnna and younger brother Josiah.

Eleanor Ruth (Davis) Roggasch was born on March 7, 1936 at Sumpter, OR, to Alfred and Dorothy (Lynn) Davis. She passed away on January 11, 2022 at the age of 85 years, 10 months and four days in Omaha, NE.

Robert W. (Bob) Micheel was born July 30, 1942 at the Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, NE to Otto W. Micheel and Dorothy “Pinkie” (Adams) Micheel. He passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at his home in Ainsworth at the age of 79.

Benny Einspahr was born on September 18, 1924 in Brown County on the ranch. His parents were Herman and Ida (Bloomthal) Einspahr. When he was younger he attended the German Valley Lutheran Church for a time.
