Funeral services for Joe L. Giles, age 95 of Ainsworth, NE, will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ainsworth. Burial will follow in the Purdum Cemetery. Joe Giles died Friday, May 21, 2021 in his home near Ainsworth. Survivors include: four daughters, Jo McCoy of Ainsworth, Karen Nance of North Platte, NE, Marcia (Rod) Speck of Gothenburg, NE and Erin (Terry) Allen of Ainsworth; eight grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren; sister, Ruth Sullivan of Broken Bow, NE; brother-in-law, Ted (Marlea) Keys of Elsmere, NE; nieces, nephews and other family members. Public visitations for Joe Giles will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Hoch Funeral Home in Ainsworth and will continue on Wednesday from noon until the time of services at the Methodist Church. Donald Engle Allen was born December 23, 1922 in the Allen Family sod house in Brown County, NE and passed away on April 24, 2021 in Del Rio, TX. He was the fourth child of his parents Fred Albert Allen and Mabel Henrietta (Hewitt) Allen. Doctors Hewitt, Don’s grandparents, attended to Don’s birth and to those of his three siblings.

Memorial graveside services for Darby Randall Cook, Sr., age 50 of Johnstown, NE will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the East Woodlawn Cemetery at Johnstown. Military Honors are to be conducted by Ainsworth American Legion Post #79. Darby Cook died recently at his home in Johnstown.

Arlene Margaret Voss Ries, 86, teacher, gardener, ranch wife and loving mother went to be with her Lord on May 11, 2021. Arlene was born July 4, 1934, to Henry and Marjorie (Johnson) Voss on the family ranch 26 miles south of Wood Lake, NE.

Yvonne “Vonnie” Marie Reyman was born on July 18, 1936 in Ainsworth, NE to Marie A. Esterly and Wilson Marlatt. Vonnie passed away May 5, 2021 at the age of 84 in Lincoln, NE. She was surrounded by her husband, Ret. U.S. Army Major Claude Lou Reyman and daughter, Ret. U.S. Army Colonel Lynda Marie Granfield.

Memorial graveside services for Darby Randall Cook, Sr., age 50 of Johnstown, NE, will be held at later date in the East Woodlawn Cemetery at Johnstown. Darby Cook died recently at his home in Johnstown.

Lorene (Hayden) Kernan was born at Blackbird, NE on July 5, 1921 to Bertha (Rouse) and James R. Hayden. She passed away on May 1, 2021 at the age of 99 years at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care Center in Bassett, NE.

Memorial services for Dr. Joel Gillespie will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk, NE. Reverend Scott Schilmoeller will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Home for Funerals is in charge of the arrangements.

Herris Gene Lambley was born May 11, 1938 to Ulyse and Lucille Lambley at Ainsworth, NE. Herris went to heaven April 23, 2021 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, SD at the age of 82 years.
