Ainsworth Bulldogs Finish 2020-21 Season with 10-11 Record

The Ainsworth Bulldog Basketball Team finished the 2020-21 season with a record of 10-11.

The Dawgs were a young team, starting two juniors and three freshmen, so it was definitely a building year.

Coach Jake Nelson said, “The exciting thing about this year’s stats is that we return all of the main contributors to those stats next year.”

Ainsworth’s scoring leader was Caleb Allen, averaging 12.6 points per game, followed closely by Traegan McNally with 12.4 points per game and Carter Nelson with 12.0 points per game.

The top three rebounders were Carter Nelson with 178, Trey Appelt with 136 and Cash Reynolds with 90.

Assists were led by Carter Nelson with 79, Traegan McNally with 50 and Cash Reynolds with 37.

Caleb Allen made eight 3-pointers against Broken Bow and Traegan McNally made seven 3-pointers against CWC, each of which could break the school record for many schools, but still misses the mark of 10 set by Hunter Martin.

One record was broken this year when Carter Nelson had 11 blocks against Stuart.
