Jolyn Pozehl Takes Third Place at NSAA State Wrestling
Jolyn Pozehl stands on the podium following her third place finish in the girls 115 lb. weight class at the 2023 NSAA State Wrestling Championships. This is her second year on the winner’s podium at state wrestling.
Jolyn Pozehl pinned Chelsey Robinson of Omaha North in 4:06. After winning her first match, Pozehl was defeated and had to work her way through the wrestle-backs.

Landon Holloway wrestled in the 145 lb. weight class at the 2023 NSAA State Wrestling Tournament. After losing his first match, Holloway defeated John Leija of Plainview by a 10-5 decision.
Head Coach Todd Pollock indicates for Pozehl to take it easy and stay calm in her bid for third place in the 115 lb. weight class.
Freshman Megan Jones competed in her first NSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha. She lost to Jenna Secord of Papillion-La Vista by a fall in her first match in the 140 lb. weight class. (Top Picture).
Jolyn Pozehl pinned Hailey Medina of Gering in the consolation semi-final round of the wrestle-backs. The win allowed Pozehl to wrestle for third place in the 115 lb. weight class.
Pozehl defeated Morgan Maschmann of Beatrice by a 6-3 decision to take third place in the girls 115 lb. weight class.
