The KBR Rodeo Club competed in Burwell on May 4th and May 5th. On Saturday, May 4th, Bryce Painter placed fifth in Steer Wrestling and sixth in Tie Down.

The Ainsworth Boys Golf Team was at the Bassett Country Club in Bassett on May 7th for the Highway 20 Invitational. Keian Fischer of North Central led the North Central Knights team to first place as a team with an individual 18-hole score of 79.

The Ainsworth Boys Golf Team was in Valentine at Frederick Peak for their last regular season golf meet on May 9th. “It was a terrible day for everyone except for Airyan Goochey, who had his personal best and broke 100 for the first time in competition,” said Head Coach Julie Micheel.

The Ainsworth Track Teams qualified seven athletes for the 2024 NSAA Class C State Track Meet to be held in Omaha on May 17th and 18th. Qualifiying for Ainsworth were: • Gracyn Painter - 100 Meter Dash, 200 Meter Dash and Long Jump.

With some soggy score sheets, shooters made it past the third week of Trap League on Wednesday, May 1st. Top shooters were Blaine Frizzell with a 48 of 50 rocks and Dave Sherman with a 43 of 50.

Ainsworth Middle School Track Team will send at least three athletes to the Nebraska Championship Meet in Gothenburg on May 11th. The top 24 boys and girls allclass (Class A through Class D) in each individual event plus the top 16 relay teams will be invited to compete based off the official 2024 results.

The Ainsworth Middle School Track Teams wrapped up the regular season at the Greg Gass Invitational Track Meet in Valentine on May 3rd. Due to weather, all events were finals only.

TeamMates is a school-based Mentoring Program that focuses on building relationships and identifying strengths in students. Currently, over 180 communities across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, and Wyoming are supported by TeamMates. The Mission of TeamMates is “to impact the world by inspiring students to reach their full potential through mentoring”.

Ainsworth Boys Golf Team competed in the SWC Golf Tournament on May 2nd at the Crandall Creek Golf Course in Ogallala. The Ainsworth Golf Team placed ninth in the tournament with a team score of 412.

The Ainsworth Boys Golf Team hosted the 2024 Ainsworth Boys Golf Invitational at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course on April 29th. North Central won the team event with an 18-hole team score of 354 and West Holt took second with a team score of 363.
