Ainsworth Golfers Retain Rolling Rock Over Valentine Golfers, 16 1/2 - 81/2

Ainsworth retained the Rolling Rock on Sunday, September 19th over Valentine, 16 1/2 - 8 1/2, in the annual match play golf event featuring the top golfers from the Ainsworth and Valentine courses. Held at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course, the two teams finished tied after the scramble round at 2-1/2.

ACS Per-Pupil Cost As or More Efficient Than Nearby Schools

According to the 2019-2020 data on per-pupil expenditure, the Ainsworth School District is as, if not more, efficient than neighboring school districts. The per-pupil cost is calculated by dividing the current expenditures over the entire academic year by the total number of students. Doug’s Mobil Leads Trap League After Second Week

The second night of Trap League was shot in a little bit of wind on Wednesday, September 15th at the Sandhills Rod & Gun Club. Standings after week two are Doug’s Mobil - 426, First Class Auto - 425, Ainsworth Golf Club - 419, Mob County - 416, Weed Wackers - 406, Weed Eaters - 397, Berry Creek Pawn - 388, Ripley Chevy 385, Ainsworth Redi Mix - 374 and Zingers - 370.

Ainsworth Bulldog Cross Country Teams Collect a Pair of Runner-up Finishes at O’Neill

The Ainsworth Cross Country teams took advantage of beautiful weather at the O’Neill Invitational en route to collecting three runnerup and a third-place team finish on Friday, September 17th. The seasonably cooler weather also would allow 15 seasonal best times for the Bulldogs as they earned 12 individual laurels from the meet.

Fall harvest provides many valuable forage options for ag. producers. For some growers, early high moisture corn harvest is providing strong basis prices. Others may be harvesting whole plants as corn silage; while still others may be waiting for dry down to sell grain into the cash markets.

Ainsworth Bulldog Volleyball Team Improves to 10-3

The Ainsworth Bulldog Volleyball Team picked up three more wins during last week’s play, improving to 10-3 on the season. The Dawgs hosted West Holt for a Dual on September 14th and handed the Lady Huskies a 3-1 loss.
