The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Ord Girls Invitational on January 12th. As a team, Ainsworth placed 12th out of 23 teams.

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs picked up two wins this past week defeating Boyd County 58-42 and O’Neill 57-51 to move to 5-5 on the season. Boyd County The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Spencer on January 10th and came away with a 58-43 win over the Lady Spartans.

The Annual Elks Hoop Shoot was held on January 8th in Lila McAndrew Gymnasium. The Elks Hoop Shoot is for girls and boys ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.

Cameryn Goochey pulls down a rebound against the Minden Lady Whippets. Goochey led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 13 points and had six rebounds.

The Ainsworth Bulldogs finally got back on to the court in the Holiday Basketball Tournament in Battle Creek on December 29th and 30th. Between weather and holidays, the Dawgs had three games cancelled as well as many days of practices.

Tatum Nickless pinned Lilyanna Dziurawiec of Homer in the 110 lb. weight class.

The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team took to the mats in the 2022 Winnebago Lady Indian Wrestling Tournament. Forty-one teams competed in the tournament on December 29th with South Sioux City taking top honors.
