Students at Ainsworth Community Schools Pays Tribute to Our Heros...Our Veterans

  • Posting of the colors during the Veterans Day Program was done by members of the Ainsworth American Legion, Ainsworth American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of American Legion. The Ainsworth High School band played the “Star Spangled Banner” and “God Bless the U.S.A.”. Performing “Taps” were Erin Rathe, Colby Beegle, Abbi Paulson, Miranda Phares and David Cook.

  • Three Veterans that stood up while their military branch anthem was played included (left to right): Military family members Al Lentz, Tony Lentz and Elmer Lentz. Each Veteran was presented a packet of items donated from businesses throughout the community showing support of their service.

  • American Legion Commander of District 1, Judy Walters (center) introduced the local veterans. The two boys, Kolby Swett(Left) and Teigen Marbry (right) stand beside the Veteran posters they drew. The posters have been selected to be sent to Kearney for display in the Veteran’s Home.

  • K-6 Choir sang “You’re a Grand Ole Flag”, Ainsworth High School Choir sang “Thank You, Soldiers”, and “A Tribute to the Armed Services.”
