August 8, 2022 The Board of Education of School District #10 held a regular meeting, August 8, 2022. Board members present were Brad Wilkins, Jessica Pozehl, Frank Beel, Mark Johnson and Jim Arens. Members absent: Scott Erthum. Also present were Superintendent Dale Hafer, Principals Steve Dike, Ben Wright and AD Scott Steinhauser. There were several guests in attendance.

A new season of Book Club is about to begin at the Ainsworth Public Library! The September selection title will be The Book Club by Mary Alice Monroe. This story features five remarkable women who are all in their 50’s and 60’s that belong to the same book club but from different walks of life.

Brown County Hospital Board Meeting The Brown County Hospital Board meeting will be held on Monday, August 22nd at 4:00 p.m. in the Brown County Hospital Conference Room.

A livestock auction was held for BKR 4-H youth on Friday, August 5th following the 4-H Youth Fair during the Rock County Fair. 4-H youth from Brown, Rock and Keya Paha counties either sold the animals they raised or received a premium from area businesses and other buyers if they planned to take their animals on to the Nebraska State Fair to show.

President Marilyn called the July 26, 2022 American Legion Auxiliary meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Chaplain Ellen gave an opening prayer.
