Ainsworth FFA Recounts Busy Year

Ainsworth FFA has had a busy and successful year. Members have competed in competitions, attended conventions, and participated in community service activities. The FFA members have worked hard to be successful in competitions, and networked with other FFA members. The following is a recap of the 2023 - 2024 school year.

FFA Vision, Mission and Motto

National FFA Week always runs from Saturday to Saturday and encompasses February 22, George Washington’s birthday. This year, the week kicks off on February 17 and culminates on Saturday, February 24.

What FFA Means to Me

Being raised in the Nebraska Sandhills, agriculture has always been apart of my life. I am honored to be apart of our local FFA chapter. FFA has taught me many life lessons in the short time that I have been apart of the great organization. A few things FFA has taught me are: patience, leadership, time management skills, and how to work with others.

It’s a widely recognized symbol of the FFA Organization, but do you know the symbolism behind the FFA Emblem? The following is an explanation of what the FFA Emblem stands for: Cross section of the ear of corn: Represents unity. Wherever you live in the United States, corn is grown everywhere.

The History of FFA’s Iconic Blue Corduroy Jacket

The most recognizable symbol of the FFA organization is the blue corduroy jacket that is worn by FFA members. The back of the jacket features a large FFA emblem underneath the name of the member’s state.

2023-24 Ainsworth FFA Officers

The 2023-24 FFA Officers were named during the 2023 Ainsworth FFA Banquet. Officers for the upcoming year are (left to right) Gracie Kinney - Sentinel, Miah Ortner - Treasurer, Hannah Beel - Reporter, Trey Appelt - President, Emma Kennedy - Vice President, Brianna Starkey - Jr. Advisor and Tessa Barthel - Secretary.

Ally Conroy of Ainsworth was named to the Easter Wyoming College Fall Honor Roll. EWC named 122 students on the college’s Fall 2023 President’s Honor Roll.
