Legislative Notes

Last Friday we held a hearing of the special committee created by my interim study, LR 178. It promoted the idea of building small modular nuclear reactors in Nebraska. I believe this idea can attract votes from both sides of the political spectrum. The ten to fifteen-year planning horizon for this technology means we need to start today. I’m motivated to pursue this goal for Nebraska’s grandchildren. I want them to have the same affordable, reliable electricity that I have enjoyed my entire life.
