Susan D. Hulshizer, 65

Susan D. Hulshizer, age 65, of Kearney, NE, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at her home.

Susan Doreen Hulshizer, was born on October 6, 1956, to William C. “Bill” and Eva May (Hamilton) Hulshizer in Ainsworth, NE and passed away on September 26, 2022.

Susan grew up in Ainsworth, NE, moving to the Kearney area and eventually to Kearney. Susie attended Ainsworth Schools through the 8th grade and began High School in Pleasanton Schools, finishing in Kearney. She attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, TX, finishing in Pasadena, CA. Susan stayed in California for several years, eventually moving back to Kearney with her daughter where she worked on her Masters at UNK. Employed in food nutrition services, she spent 25 years at Good Samaritan Hospital as well as UNK, Kearney Regional Hospital and various other institutes.

Susie made lasting friends wherever she went and leaves behind many lasting memories.

Survivors include her daughter, Ashley and son-in-law, Bradley Clark of Kearney, and the light of her life, grandson, Brady Clark; 1 brother; 2 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother; 1 nephew; and significant other, Danny “Tinker” Warnken.There was a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the Kearney American Legion.
