Memorial Service for Joyce M. Welch, age 80, of Ainsworth, NE was held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ainsworth United Methodist Church. A Private Family Inurnment preceded the service in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Joyce Welch passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett, NE.

Roby V. Woods Jr., age 75, was born on February 9, 1949 at Ainsworth, NE to Roby and Iona (Eddy) Woods.

Ethel Ardelle North, 93, of Long Pine, NE passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the O’Neill hospital after a brief illness. Ethel was born to Earl Chester and Dorothy Astella (Swanson) Nelson in Ord, NE on September 6, 1931, the oldest of six children.

Memorial Services are pending at the Hoch Funeral Home in Ainsworth, NE for Betty E. McBride, age 83 of Ainsworth. Betty McBride passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Sandhills Care Center in Ainsworth.

Darlene Elizabeth Meyer was born on a small farm near Lincoln, NE on November 15, 1947. She worked on the farm with her father, mother and brothers until High School graduation in 1965 when she began studying and working at Bryan Hospital’s nursing program.

Funeral Service for Ethel A. North, age 93, of Long Pine, NE will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hoch Funeral Home in Ainsworth, NE. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery at Long Pine. Ethel North died Wednesday, January 29, 2025 in the Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital in O’Neill, NE.

Jerry Oren Jackman, age 75, of York, NE died on Monday, January 20, 2025 in York. He was born on March 4, 1949 to Oren and Bernada (Schelm) Jackman in Ainsworth, NE. On March 8, 1980, Jerry was united in marriage to Marilyn Kemper in Ainsworth.

Carolyn “Sus” Peden, a beloved wife, mother, and community member, passed away January 20, 2025 at the age of 92, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, NE. Sus was born September 18, 1932 in Curtis, NE, daughter of Carl and Fern (Hecht) Jorgensen.

John Wesley Dodds, age 70, passed away at home on January 16, 2025, in Ainsworth, NE. He was born to Frank “Doc” and Renona (Reed) Dodds on June 22, 1954, as the second of a set of twins.

Funeral Service for John W. Dodds, age 70, of Ainsworth, NE was held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Hoch Funeral Home in Ainsworth. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Ainsworth Cemetery. John Dodds passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his home in Ainsworth.
