Eight members of the Ainsworth Boys and Girls Track Teams qualified to compete in the 2022 NSAA Class C State Track Meet in Omaha on Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st and brought home 10 medals.

The Ainsworth Bulldog Track Team qualified eight athletes for the 2022 State Track Meet in 14 events. The qualifiers and coaches are (front row - left to right): Assistant Coach Wade Alberts, Kaitlyn Nelson, Eden Raymond, Katherine Kerrigan, Emma Kennedy, Cameryn Goochey and Assistant Coach Sandi Nelson; (back row-left to right): Assistant Coach Landon Welke, Assistant Coach Haley McBride, Ty Schlueter, Carter Nelson, Caleb Allen and Head Coach Jake Nelson.

The Ainsworth Track teams qualified eight athletes in 14 events for the 2022 NSAA State Track Meet to be held in Omaha on Friday and Saturday, May 20th and 21st. Qualifications were held at the C-5 District Track Meet on Thursday, May 12th in Atkinson.

Chadron State College has announced that 346 students met requirements for the Dean’s List for Fall 2021 by earning at least a 3.5 grade point average. To qualify, students must have completed at least 45 credit hours, be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester.

The Ainsworth Track Team competed in the 2022 Southwest Conference Championships on Tuesday, May 3rd in Gothenburg. Competing with predominently Class B schools, the Ainsworth Boys took third place with 66 points and the Ainsworth Girls placed seventh with 47 points.

Ainsworth High School hosted and 18-hole Boys Golf Invitational on Tuesday, May 3rd at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course. The varsity team placed fourth and the JV team placed 1st in the JV competition.

Bria Delimont, 2022 AHS graduate, has signed a letter-of-intent to play women’s basketball for Chadron State College. Delimont has lettered all four years of her high school career at Ainsworth in girls basketball. She joins her brothers, Brady, former player and Gage, current player for the Chadron State Eagles Men’s Basketball team. Delimont plans on majoring in Business Administration at Chadron. Graduate and undergraduate degrees will be conferred for 682 spring graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney commencement exercises 10:00 a.m. on May 13th at UNK’s Health and Sports Center.

AMS Golfers hit the links at Frederick Peak Golf Club in Valentine for a rematch Dual with Valentine Middle School on Tuesday, May 3rd. This competition wraps up the inaugural season of Ainsworth Middle School Golf.
