Build an Animal Friend Held at Ainsworth Library

On July 21st, the Ainsworth Library held a special Bison Program with the Niobrara National Park Rangers. The children enjoyed learning about the history of bison and seeing all the items that were on display.

Ainsworth Fire Department Responds to Motor Home Fire

The Ainsworth Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a motor home on fire just north of Ainsworth on Sunday afternoon. At approximately 1:45 p.m., a motor home parked in the driveway of a residence owned by Charlie Kyser one mile north of Ainsworth on Meadville Avenue caught fire.

Century Lumber Held Summer Drawings

Century Lumber Center of Ainsworth held two drawings with entries taking place the last week of June and ending on Independence Day weekend. One drawing celebrated America’s 250th birthday.

Highway Renumbering Set for August 10

The Nebraska Department of Transportation announced Highway 183 and Highway 7 near Bassett will be renumbered on August 10. Highway 7 north of Bassett will become Highway 183 and Highway 183 east of Ainsworth will become Highway 7.

Brown County Commissioners Hold Final Meeting of July

The Brown County Board of Commissioners convened for its second regularly scheduled meeting of the month on Tuesday, July 21. Commissioners present were Dennis Bauer, Don Painter and Jeremiah Dailey.
