From Old Tires to a Lasting Tribute: Veterans Bench Nominations Open

What happens to the thousands of tires collected during NorthCentralNebraskaRC&D's tire amnesty events? Many of them get a second life. This year, Champlin Tire Recycling, which hauled away and recycled the tires collected at the amnesty events in Springview and O’Neill, generously donated two park benches made from recycled tires to the North Central Nebraska RC&D.

Work to Begin on Elsmere Road

The Brown County roads department will place cold-mix asphalt on stretches of the Elsmere Road next Monday and Tuesday, July 27-28. The asphalt will be placed between Clear Lake Avenue west to Koshopah Road at the Cherry County line.
