Controlling Winter Annual Weeds - Todd Whitney

Record winter high temperatures are causing earlier weeds emergence; so now is the time to control winter annual weeds in alfalfa. Thin field stands combined with open soil surfaces and adequate moisture can result in high weed pressure.

The Ainsworth Middle School Quiz Bowl team earned the runnerup trophy at the Quiz Bowl hosted by ESU 17 on Tuesday, March 3rd. The team went 4-0 in their preliminary matches, then lost to Chambers in the championship match. Team members are: back row (left - right) Buck Ruhter, Keith Munnu, Leighton Konkoleski, Onyx Morse.
