We have been discussing the need for Christians to be continuously willing to examine their biased opinions about life and the Bible. Remember the person who boldly declared, “I am what I am, and this is what I will always be?” It’s sad to imagine how many individuals actually feel this way about what they believe and who they are.

Brown County Sheriff’s Report

November 16 The sheriff’s office took a written statement of inappropriate behavior in the reporting party’s household. This is an ongoing investigation.

Flynn and Painter Recognized as Volleyball Record Holders

Ainsworth High School juniors Willa Flynn and Gracyn Painter were annouced as record-holders for the AHS volleyball team. Flynn holds the assists in a season record, having collected 464 assists this year. The record was previously set in 2021 by Dakota Stutzman.

Brown County Commissioners Approve Raise for Turpin

The Brown County Board of Commissioners met November 18 for their final regularly scheduled meeting of the month. Present were board members Dennis Bauer, Don Painter, and Jeremiah Dailey.

Ainsworth Elementary Students Answer Thanksgiving Questions

assigned one class for each grade at Ainsworth Elementary School a question themed around Thanksgiving. The remainder of the classes will be tasked with answering Christmas questions in a December issue of the Ainsworth Star-Journal.

Wayne State Student Conductors to Debut Skills on December 2

Eight Wayne State College students debut their conducting skills during the Student Conductors Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, in Ramsey Theatre, located in the Peterson Fine Arts Building. The performance, free and open to the public, features the Wayne State Symphonic Band.

Alpha Delta Chapter Tours Ainsworth Grand Theater

Alpha Delta members toured the Ainsworth Grand Theater on November 12 and then had their meeting at Pizza Hut. Five members answered roll call with a memory of going to the movies and made a donation to Read Aloud Nebraska/ CASA project.
