The Ainsworth Lions Club held its regular monthly meeting at noon on August 24 at the Ainsworth Senior Center. Lion President Connie Lentz called the meeting to order with 11 members present.

The AHS football team took on the North Central Knights on Friday, September 11, during the school’s homecoming week. During a 2 p.m.

The North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) has launched the Healthy Concession Stand Mini Grant, a new funding opportunity to help area schools offer healthier snacks and beverages at their concession stands. Schools can apply for up to $1,000 in equipment funding, $350 in project support, or both. This is open to all schools in Antelope, Boyd, Brown, Cherry, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Pierce and Rock Counties in Nebraska. Applications are due September 30.

The Lady Bulldog Volleyball team saw a week full of many big wins. The team hosted North Central and Chambers/Wheeler Central in a triangular on Thursday, September 10.
