Bulldogs Capture Second Win of the Season

The AHS football team captured its second win of the season against the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars Thursday. Leading the Bulldogs in passing yards was junior Bear Rea.
Ainsworth Elks Lodge Receives $3,500 Grant for Senior Center

The Ainsworth Elks Lodge recently applied for and received a grant in the amount of $3,500 for the Ainsworth Senior Center. This money will help with costs of the meals on wheels program.
Elks Lodge Hosts Youth Trap Shoot at Sandhills Rod and Gun Club

The Ainsworth Elks Lodge annual youth trap shoot was held September 26 in conjunction with the Sandhills Rod and Gun Club. There were 31 participants aged sixth grade - high school senior.

The Ainsworth Library Foundation Board held its regular quarterly meeting on August 19th at the Ainsworth Public Library. The board did the normal business of roll call of members, approving the minutes, the treasurer’s report, as well as paying bills for the filler in the flower bed and prizes for the USA Flag Finders Contest.

Valentine Wins Annual Rolling Rock

Valentine retained the Rolling Rock Sunday at Frederick Peak Golf Course with a big rally in the singles round during the annual match play event between the top golfers from Valentine and Ainsworth. The Ainsworth squad jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the scramble round.
