Beef Month: NE Youth Programs Build the Next Generation of Beef Advocates

Across Nebraska, youth programs supported by the Nebraska Beef Council are helping students connect the dots between agriculture, food, and their everyday lives. From classrooms to campuses, these initiatives are creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that leave a lasting impact. One standout effort is the Ag Sack Lunch Program, coordinated by Ginger Jelinek, who is finishing her third year in the role. Focused on fourth grade students, the program combines a meal with agricultural education.

Men’s League Golf Kicks Off

Brett Knoetzel and Nick Martin shared the top spot Thursday during opening night of men’s league golf at the Ainsworth Golf Course with 1-over par rounds of 37. Knoetzel and Martin finished one shot ahead of Graig Kinzie, who posted a round of 38. Chuck Whitney, Troy Brodbeck and Landon Welke finished with rounds of 39.

Ainsworth Art Students Attend Niobrara Valley Conference Art Show

Students from Ainsworth Community Schools represented their school at the Niobrara Valley Conference Art Show held at St. Mary’s Grade School Gym on Friday, May 1st, showcasing both creativity and dedication among the conference’s young artists.
