BKRC Task Force Helped with the Betty’s Way Fire by North Platte
Fire trucks from the BKRC Task Force to help fight the Betty’s Way Fire by North Platte were sent from Keya Paha, Rock County, Newport, Long Pine and Ainsworth.
It was reported that 71,022 acres burned. A damage assessment showed the Betty’s Way Fire destroyed four primary residences and damaged countless outbuildings and agricultural infrastructures but no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Firemen were being instructed on where they would be assigned in assisting to help put out the large grass fire.
