Ainsworth Bulldogs Defeat Loomis Wolves 64-20 in Class D2 First Round Playoffs

Ainsworth’s Ethan Fernau almost has a pass interception, but a Loomis player deflected the ball at the last second. Luckily the ball was deflected to Ainsworth’s Carter Nelson for his second interception of the game.

Following Ainsworth’s D2 playoff win, the players celebrated by drenching Head Coach Jessi Owen.

Traegan McNally put a hit on a Loomis receiver forcing the ball loose. The ball rolled out-of-bounds before Ainsworth could recover the fumble.

Traegan McNally hit Carter Nelson on a 27 yard touchdown pass in the end zone for Ainsworth’s second touchdown of the game.

Trey Appelt caught five passes for 100 yards. Two of the passes were for touchdowns. Defensively, Appelt sacked the Loomis quarterback twice.

Riggin Blumenstock had two sacks against Loomis along with many quarterback rushes that resulted in four pass interceptions.
