Senators Focused On Tax Relief During Nebraska’s 2021 Legislative Session

Senators approved an increase in state spending on initiatives such as broadband, foster care reimbursement rates, pay for people who provide services under Medicaid and rail industrial parks during Nebraska’s 107th legislative session, which adjourned on May 27th. Senators also focused on cutting taxes and designated a portion of the state’s FY 2021-2022 $4.8 billion budget toward tax relief, according to the 2021 general fund budget summary.

Cottonwood Villa Residents Enjoy Homemade Ice Cream

Cottonwood Villa residents were treated to fresh homemade vanilla ice cream the afternoon of Friday, July 16th. The ice cream was made in front of them by Harold and Helen Bore from Meadville (pictured above - right).

Ainsworth Fire Department Serves Up Delicious Food, Community Fun During Annual Fundraiser

The Ainsworth Fire and Rescue members, Ty Shelbourn and Cadet Mason Painter take turns flipping the hamburgers while (left to right) Cameron Cook, Randy Johnson and Heath Rudnick turn the brats during their annual fire department fundraiser on Saturday, July 17th. Funds raised will be used by the fire department to upgrade equipment. The evening concluded with a street dance with live music provided by Derailed.
