This week I will continue talking about the bills that either passed or failed in this legislative session. One that passed was LB 147. The Governor correctly vetoed the bill, but the legislature voted to override his veto. I voted against the bill. LB 147 is a very bad idea for the taxpayers of Nebraska. Let me explain.

Sandhills Care Center Opens Doors With Some Safety Precautions Remaining in Place

Nebraska has reached several important health benchmarks in the fight against COVID-19: declining COVID-19 cases, statewide distribution of vaccines and hospitalizations are at their lowest levels. On May 24, 2021, Governor Ricketts announced that the State of Nebraska is discontinuing its Directed Health Measures and rescinded several executive orders that were issued during the coronavirus pandemic.
