Bulldog Football Team Falls to the Bees in Last Home Game of Season

The Ainsworth Bulldog football team hosted its final home game of the season on Friday, October 9. The Bulldogs were held scoreless until the final minutes of the game when they got a two-point safety.

The Lady Dawgs took down the Hyannis Longhorns in four sets (25-16, 23-25, 25-13, 2512) during the team’s last regular- season home game on Thursday, October 1. For the Dawgs, senior Gracyn Painter had 16 kills, followed by sophomore Ava Graff with five and senior Jaylee Good with three.

April 12, Work Session Ainsworth Board of Education members - Jim Arens, Brad Wilkins, Jessica Pozehl, Scott Erthum, Mark Johnson and Frank Beel, were present for a Work Session at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12th, to hear Facility Projects Update from Contractors. There was no official action taken during the work session.

This year's Ainsworth High School Junior/Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, April 17th. The event will start with students and their dates eating together at the Ainsworth Conference Center beginning at 5:30 p.m. Starting at 6:30 p.m., couples will line up for their pictures.

Brown County Commissioners Move Forward With Preliminary Work on Meadville Avenue Resurfacing

Following a hearing on possibly milling and resurfacing 7.5 miles of Meadville Avenue, the Brown County Commissioners directed Brown County Highway Superintendent Kenny Turpin to hire an engineering firm to generate bid specifications for the milling and resurfacing of 7.5 miles of Meadville Avenue.

The Ainsworth Middle School hosted the 2021 Ainsworth Middle School Invitational Track Meet on April 1st. The weather for the track meet was in the lower 60’s with south winds 15 to 20 mph.
