Middle Niobrara NRD Awarded $120,000 Community Forestry Infrastructure Grant

The Middle Niobrara Natural Resources District was recently awarded a $120,000 Community Forestry Infrastructure grant from PlantNebraska. The grant was part of $10 million in grant funds awarded to PlantNebraska in 2024 by the USDA Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry program.

A Friday night fire destroyed a building in Ainsworth. According to Ainsworth Assistant Fire Chief Devin Painter, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
