Anger Rises Over Changes Made in Citizen-Adopted Laws Almost every time I head over to the local work-out joint, there’s some petition circulators waiting. They scurry up and ask for my signature on a proposed ballot initiative that would make it harder for state legislators to change laws that voters have passed at the ballot box.

Rock County Hospital and Long Term Care announced the launch of a new Community Transportation Program, beginning May 1, as a six-month trial designed to better meet the needs of rural communities. The program will serve Rock, Keya Paha, Brown and Holt (as far as Atkinson) counties.

Brown County Commissioners Hold Final Meeting of April

During their meeting on Tuesday, April 21, the Brown County Commissioners approved providing a warranty deed to the purchaser of property on Main Street in Long Pine. The county received a lot with a dilapidated building due to the lack of property tax payments over time.
