The Ainsworth Fire Department burned the old Ainsworth Livestock Auction building, house and out buildings Sunday morning. At the regular meeting of the Long Pine City Council on December 7th, the council set January 4th as a date for a hearing to consider abandoning two streets on the western side of Long Pine. Mayor Ed Brown said landowners adjacent to the two streets, Maple Street between Fourth and Sixth Streets; and Sixth Street between Maple and Spruce Streets.
