The rumble of motorcycles and the spirit of generosity filled the roads of north central Nebraska on Saturday as the Celtic Riders hosted their annual Miles That Matter Poker Run, raising funds to help Ainsworth youngster Kolter Mizner and his family.

Ainsworth recaptured the Border Cup Saturday at the Ainsworth Golf Course, winning the annual match play event between members of the Ainsworth Golf Course and Bassett Country Club by a score of 15-1/2 to 9-1/2.

July 26th A deputy investigated a report of a vandalized house in Ainsworth. The children and parents involved were notified.

Memories can be wonderful places to visit when they are pleasant and filled with peace and joy. On the other hand, not all of our experiences have been pleasant. August 8, 2001 25 Years Ago '14th Annual Nebraska Leafy Spurge Conference and Tour held in Ainsworth' Approximately 80 individuals took part in the 14th Annual Nebraska Leafy Spurge Conference this past week in Ainsworth. The conference started on Wednesday, August 1st, with tours of Chemical Control Plots of Leafy Spurge on the Graff Ranch southeast of Ainsworth and then on to the Niobrara Valley Preserve on the Niobrara River for Bio-control plots of Purple Loosestrife.
