The Nebraska Game and Parks are taking reservations for the sharp-tailed grouse mating dance from a new viewing blind at Niobrara State Park near Niobrara. Reserve the viewing blind between March 15th and April 15th for the best opportunity to see this sunrise ritual, an ancient and glorious display from one of Nebraska’s most famous grassland birds.

The Ainsworth High School Speech Team traveled to Gordon to compete in the Gordon-Rushville Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 11th. In this all-varsity meet, the team placed 5th out of 10 teams.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has announced that agricultural producers and private landowners can begin applying for the General Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) sign-up starting February 27th through April 7, 2023.
