The Long Pine City Council met during its regular meeting on January 5, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Long Pine Community Center. In the absence of Mayor Ed Brown, Council President Linda Alberts presided over the meeting. Council members present were Dave Cheatum, Linda Alberts and Andrea Collatos. Council member Kelsey Carroll was absent.

Another snowstorm swept across northern Nebraska and southern South Dakota dropping 14 inches of snow on Ainsworth. The 36-hour storm started Monday, January 2nd, dropping up to 18 inches of snow in some areas.
