The regular meeting of American Legion Post Number 79 was called to order by Acting Commander Charlie Kyser at 7:30 p.m. with five members of the American Legion and one member of the Sons of the American Legion present.

Preliminary results from the 2025 Nebraska November firearm deer season show statewide harvest fell 7% from 2024, which was expected, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Harvest went from 28,056 last year to 26,029 this year.

We often wonder why certain events happen or do not happen, but when we consider that He has a certain vision and way of doing things, it can help us understand more about prayer, deeds, and faith. Does this mean that God depends on man for everything? Not necessarily.

The Ainsworth Community Schools Board of Education met on Monday, December 8, at the district office. Board members Jake Graff, Bryan Doke, Frank Beel, Crystal Dailey, Jessica Pozehl, and Brad Wilkins were present.

The Ainsworth Pharmacy Board and Brown County Hospital Board have announced their decision to dissolve the Ainsworth Pharmacy entity in 2026, marking the end of a two–year effort to maintain a locally operated pharmacy in the community.
