Lunch Chef Salad Available Daily 

Thursday, September 25th: 

Breakfast Casserole, biscuit, grapes and milk. 

Friday, September 26th: Cheeseburger, baked beans, potato salad, orange wedges and milk. 

Monday, September 29th: Chicken casserole, peas, cauliflower and baby carrots, pears, cornbread and milk. 

Tuesday, September 30th: Tomato bisque soup, grilled cheese sandwich, dinner salad, cantaloupe, cottage cheese and milk.

Week Three Trap League Results

Josh Wyrick and Dave Theis topped the field Wednesday during the third week of the Sandhills Trap Club’s fall league, knocking down 44 of 50 targets. Cassidy Zweibel and Chopper Watts connected on 43 shots, followed by Todd Pollock, Russ Schrantz, Cordell Nilson and Ty Conroy with 42 hits.

Ainsworth’s Victor Carranza to Participate in Wayne State

Wayne State College’s theatre production of “The Romancers” explores love and familial conflict with comedic charm Thursday through Sunday, October 2-5, in the Black Box Theatre, located on the lower level of the Peterson Fine Arts Building. Curtain times are 7 p.m.

Ainsworth Public Library to Take Part in Library Fall Crawl 2025

Twenty-four libraries across the central part of Nebraska are participating the inaugural Library Fall Crawl from September 2 through Sunday, November 30. The Crawl is designed to encourage residents of central Nebraska to visit, attend programming and explore the libraries in the Central Plains Library System.

Alpha Delta Kicks Off Year

Alpha Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma met September 6 at The Coffee Vault in Long Pine to enjoy breakfast before their meeting. Four members answered the roll call (what you like best about fall) and made a donation to Read Aloud Nebraska/ CASA project.

Fall Turkey Hunting Season Opens October 1

Fall turkey hunting season is near. Nebraska Game and Parks has reminders for hunters who will take to the field in search of a bird for the season, which runs October 1-Nov.

Ainsworth City Council Hosts Tax Request Hearing

The Ainsworth city council convened for a special meeting most citizens know as the ‘pink postcard’ meeting. The meeting was a public hearing to allow citizens to provide their thoughts, questions, and concerns about the city’s raised property tax request for the upcoming fiscal year.
