Marilyn M. Hill

Marilyn M. Hill passed away March 1, 2025, with her husband by her side at the Cherry County Hospital in Valentine. She was 71 years old.

Marilyn Maxine Berkheimer was born to John Rueben and Betty Maxine Berkheimer in Atkinson on September 16, 1953. She attended school in Ainsworth and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She went on to study business at Chadron State College.

On July 28, 1973, she married her longtime friend, Edward Hill. The Lord blessed them with four children including a set of twins. Marilyn was a homemaker, dedicated to her family.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Edward Hill, her brother Larry Berkheimer of Ainsworth, her children Mary (Timothy) Osborne of Salt Lake City, Utah, Amy (Tony) Greene of Wichita, Kansas, Kathy (Kenneth) Bigley of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jason H ill o f S alt L ake C ity, U tah. G randchildren a re K aylin Halldorson, Stacey Williams, Tianna Gilroy, Jade Osborne, Jason Osborne, Kenna Bigley, Brandon Greene, Kaden Bigley, Zoe Osborne and Noah Greene. Marilyn also has one great granddaughter, Adalyn Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter in law Dorin Hill and her grandson Ryan Osborne.

Funeral service was held at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine March 8, 2025. She was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine.
