Boys Golf Season Preview

The Ainsworth boys golf team has started preparing for the 2025 season. This year, Julie Micheel will continue being the head coach, and her husband, Rex, will be the assistant coach.
Senior Angel Ajin was one of the three seniors this season. The 2024-25 season was his first season wrestling.

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling season ended on February 21st during the NSAA State Wrestling Championships. Two erestlers qualified for the state tournament, Holden Beel in the 113 weight class and Dylan Titus in the 126 weight class.

Ainsworth Speech Team Competes in Home Invite

The Ainsworth High School Speech Team hosted the Ainsworth Speech Meet on Saturday, March 1. There were six teams in attendance The Ainsworth speakers finished in 3rd place as a team. Individual results are as follows:
Jolyn Pozehl works to pin her opponent from Valentine as she wrestles in Ainsworth during their final regular season tournament. Pozehl will continue her wrestling career as a bobcat at Southeast Community College in Lincoln. This season, she earned both her 100th pin and 100th win of her high school career.

The Lady Bulldog Wrestling Team ended their season during the very first Girls State Wrestling Championship that was not hosted alongside the boys. This year, the girls program got its own two day tournament before the boys tournament started.

Bulldog’s Season Ends in Overtime During Sub-Districts

On Tuesday, February 25th, the Ainsworth Bulldogs travelled to Spencer to take on the North Central Knights for the second time this season, and for the second time, the game ended in overtime. The Bulldogs faced a very physical North Central team earlier in the season, and lost in overtime by two points.

Girls Basketball Season Recap

The Lady Bulldog basketball team saw their season come to a close on Monday, February 17th, after falling in the C2-5 Sub-District tournament. The loss capped off a challenging season for the Lady Dawgs, who finished with a 4-16 record.

Boys Basketball Falls Short in Last Regular Season Game

The Ainsworth Boys Basketball Team travelled to Hyannis on Febraury 21st for their last regular season game. The Bulldogs played the Longhorns within 4 points, nearly going into their third overtime game this season.
