Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs End Season With Loss in Sub-Districts

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs were handed a season ending loss in Sub-District C2-5 by the Wisner- Pilger Lady Gators, 47-60, in Tilden, NE on Tuesday, February 18th. The Lady Bulldogs were seeded fifth with a 4-15 record while the Lady Gators were seeded fourth with a 10-14 record.

Boys Wrestling Sends Two to State Tournament

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling program qualified two boys to wrestle in Omaha at the Boys State Wrestling tournament. The tournament was held February 20th - 22nd in Omaha at the CHI Arena.

Hoffman and Jones Compete at Girls State Wrestling

The Nebraska School Activities Association hosted the 2025 NSAA Girls State Wrestling Tournament on Tuesday, February 18th and Wednesday, February 19th. The tournament was held at CHI Arena in Omaha.

Girls Basketball Falls to Winside in Last Regular Season Game

The Lady Bulldogs could not pull off a win during their last regular season game on an away trip to Winside on February 14th. The Dawgs have played their last three opponents of the season within 10 points.

Bulldogs Pull Off Overtime Win in Winside 69-63

The Bulldogs had their second to last regular season game of the 2024-25 season on Friday, February 14th in Winside. The Bulldogs picked up three wins out of their last four games.

Bulldogs Drop Game to Broncos

As the Bulldogs near the end of the season, they held their last home match up against the Stuart Broncos on February 11th. The Bulldogs faced a tall Stuart team that kept the pressure on the Bulldogs and out-scored them each quarter.

Lady Dawgs Fall to Lady Broncos

The Ainsworth Lady Dawgs hosted their last home game against the Stuart Broncos on Tuesday, February 11th. The Bulldogs kept the game close the entirety of the four quarters.

Ainsworth Qualified Two Wrestlers for the 2025 NSAA State Wrestling Tournament

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling Team competed in the NSAA Class D District 3 at the Central Valley High School in Greeley on February 15th. Ainsworth qualified two wrestlers for the 2025 NSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha on February 20th, 21st and 22nd in the CHI Health Center.

Delimonts Honored at Last Home Basketball Games

Brian and Laurie Delimont were honored by the coaching staff and athletes with a sign made by high school students. The couple was honored between the Girls and Boys Basketball games on February 11th. Brian and Laurie have been active in all aspects of the Ainsworth Community. The couple has lived in the Ainsworth area for 25 years, and will be moving to O’Neill to be closer to their work base. Brian has been opening the AHS weight room before the sun comes up for 15 years, opened the Ainsworth Community Center to the public for five years, and he has been involved with coaching Ainsworth athletics for 20 years. Laurie has been faithful in keeping track of the basketball teams book/statistics since 2015, when her son Brady started his senior basketball season. The Delimonts have graduated their four children through the Ainsworth school system, Brady (2016), Gage (2019), Bria (2022), and Kendyl (2024). Ainsworth would like to thank Brian and Laurie for all they have done!
