Libby Wilkins Named to Fall Commendation List

Libby Wilkins of Ainsworth has been named to the Deans’ Commendation List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2024-25 academic year. Wilkins, a junior majoring in agricultural leadership, education and communication, was named to the Dean’s Commendation List for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

The Light Goose Conservation Order begins February 10th, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. The dates are: East Zone, February 10th through April 15th; Rainwater Basin Zone, February 10th through April 5th and West Zone, February 10th through April 5th.

The Ainsworth Boys Basketball Team notched their third win of the season on Thursday, January 30th against the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars. The Bulldogs started slow in the first quarter, getting out scored 17-7.

Lady Bulldogs Pick Up Win Against Hyannis 48-25

On Tuesday, January 28th, the Lady Bulldogs finally broke their five game dry spell. The Lady Dawgs held the Hyannis Lady Longhorns to single digit points each quarter.

UNK Host Students for High School Honor Band and Choral Clinic

The University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance welcomed 558 music students from 101 high schools across Nebraska for the annual Honor Band & Choral Clinic on Monday, January 27th.
