Adeline Hladky Takes 4th Place at NE USA State Wrestling

Adeline Hladky of Ainsworth Wrestling Club earned a 4th place plaque in her respective bracket. Nebraska USA Wrestling had 2,630 compete in their state tournament in Grand Island on March 16th and 17th.

Winter NCPA Academic All-State Award Winners

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) is pleased to announce the student recipients of the Winter 2023-2024 Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Awards. Since 2006 this NSAA Awards Program has recognized students who meet the criteria for nomination by their school in the season of their activity.

Hannah Beel to Attend Girls State in Lincoln

Hannah Beel of Johnstown has been selected to attend American Legion Auxiliary Cornhusker Girls State June 2-8, 2024, on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Beel will study local, county and state government processes in this nonpartisan political learning experience. Every spring, the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program provides approximately 25,000 young women with handson educational opportunities designed to instruct tomorrow’s leaders in privileges and duties of responsible citizenship.

Ainsworth Track Teams Start 2024 Season at Dan Lennon Invitational

The Ainsworth Track Team competed in their first event of the 2024 Track Season at the Dan Lennon Invitational Track Meet in Vermillion, SD on March 19th. Carter Nelson took first place in the Boys Pole Vault and Long Jump plus placing third in the Shot Put.

Ainsworth Bulldogs Take Runner-Up in Class D1 at State Basketball

The Ainsworth Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team went into the 2024 NSAA Boys State Basketball Tournament as the #4 seed in Class D1. The Bulldogs defeated the #5 seed Dundy County Stratton Tigers in the first round, 62-55, on March 7th, to advance to the Semi-Finals.

Ainsworth Student Body Wins Class D1 Sportsmanship Award

Each class competes for a Sportsmanship Award during the NSAA Boys State Basketball Tournament. The Ainsworth Student Body received the Class D1 Sportsmanship Award at the 2024 Boys State Basketball Tournament. The award was presented to Ainsworth High School following the Class D1 championship game.

Congratulations to the 2023-24 Ainsworth Boys Basketball Team

The Ainsworth Boys Basketball Team qualified for the NSAA Boys Basketball Class D1 Tournament in Lincoln on March 7th, 8th and 9th. The Dawgs take their 18 and 7 record to Lincoln after defeating the Axtel Wildcats in D1-6 District Finals and gaining a berth to the Class D1 State Basketball Tournament. Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs Wraps Up 2023-24 Season

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs Basketball Team wrapped up its 2023-24 season in C2-3 District Finals against the Elmwood Murdock Lady Knights. The Lady Bulldogs ended the season with a record of 13-11 and say farewell to five seniors - Karli Kral, Jocelyn Good, Kendyl Delimont, Breanna Fernau and Cheyan Temple.
