Nebraska Volleyball Stadium Event Draws 92,003 To Set Women’s World Attendance Record

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) __ The University of Nebraska laid claim to the world record for largest attendance at a women’s sporting event with 92,003 filling Memorial Stadium on Wednesday night, August 30th for the Cornhuskers’ volleyball match against Omaha.

The team of Brian Delimont, Cody Goochey and Kyle Jackman hung on to first place with a team score of 69 to win Ainsworth Men’s League for 2023. The team of Landon Welke, Nick Martin and Jessi Owen tied for second place with the team of Wes Luther, Chester Smith and Robert Magill.

Bulldogs Win Opening Volleyball Regular Season Play Against the North Central Knights in Four Sets

The Ainsworth Bulldogs opened their 2022 volleyball regular season play on Thursday, August 24th, traveling to Bassett to play the North Central Knights in a non conference game. After four sets, the Bulldogs came home with the win over the Knights, 25 - 19, 17 - 25, 25 - 21 and 25 - 20.

BKR Rodeo Club Competes in Two Rodeos

The KBR Rodeo Club had a double header this past weekend with two rodeos being held. The club was in Bloomfield on Saturday, August 26th.

Senior Trey Appelt caught three passes for 72 yards and scored one touchdown and three solo tackles with one sack against the North Central Knights in the Bulldog’s first football game of the 2023 season.
