Graduate and undergraduate degrees will be conferred for 682 spring graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney commencement exercises 10:00 a.m. on May 13th at UNK’s Health and Sports Center.

AMS Golfers hit the links at Frederick Peak Golf Club in Valentine for a rematch Dual with Valentine Middle School on Tuesday, May 3rd. This competition wraps up the inaugural season of Ainsworth Middle School Golf.

The Ainsworth track teams completed the 2022 regular season at the Valentine Invitational Track Meet on Friday, May 6th. The Ainsworth Varsity and Middle School track teams competed in the meet with the Ainsworth middle school girls taking first place with 100 points.

The Sandhills Rod and Gun Club started its Spring Trap League on Wednesday night, April 20th with nine teams. First Class Auto led the way with a 217, the Mob County Boys shot 210, The Weed Eaters broke 205, Ainsworth Golf Course had 204, Weed Wackers with 204, Ripley Chevy scored 203, Home Town Lumber broke 199, Doug’s Mobile shot 194 and Berry Creek Pawn had 192.

West Holt hosted ten track teams, including Ainsworth, on Tuesday, April 21st at the future track site of the district meet. The temperatures ranged in the 50s and 60s, but the wind blew most of the day.

AHS track athletes traveled to compete in the 61st O’Neill Invitational on Tuesday, April 12th. The 11 participating teams were met in the morning with fair weather, which disappeared suddenly in the afternoon when a front rushed in high winds and cooler temperatures.

The Ainsworth Track teams competed in the Sandhills Invite in Bassett on Monday, April 4th. The tracksters fought a strong south wind with cool temperatures.
